Roofing Merchants

Our comprehensive merchanting department stocks many quality roofing products and is very conveniently located just off the A30 at Indian Queens.  We have a large premises with plenty of room for parking and loading.  Our experienced merchanting team will be able to support you in all of your roofing material requirements.  We also stock a wide range of Cedral weatherboarding materials in a variety of different colours and carry batten and felt in support of the approved manufacturers fixing specification.  We have fixing guides and samples to support the customer with their construction project and we have contacts within the technical departments of our product manufacturers which we can call upon where necessary to assist our customers’ needs.  Details of the key product groups that we supply are listed below.

Slates

Brazilian : We stock Brazilian Grey Green and Graphite slates in a standard 500mm x 250mm size and can offer these slates at a very competitive rate.  We have facilities to deliver in crates direct to site.  These slates are supplied through our slate importing partners who select the best products with a material guarantee of 30 years, traceability back to the Brazilian quarry and a declaration of performance certificate.  The slates are very popular in Cornwall and have a proven track record of quality and value for money.

Spanish: We supply a range of quality Spanish slates which come in a range of sizes and are of a darker appearance.  We are happy to go through the options of Spanish slate to suite a specific project.  All of the Spanish slates that we supply are of a high quality and are sourced from quarries in Spain that have a proved record of quality.  All of these slates come with a material guarantee of 30 years and a declaration of performance certificate.

Argentinian:   We have an account with SSQ and can supply Argentinian Riverstone natural slates in a range of sizes, subject to availability.

Fibre Cement: We can supply fibre cement slates in blue/black, sizes of 600x300mm and 500x250mm smooth or riven.

Roofing Materials

Breather Membrane: In our stores we hold stocks of Klober Permo Light and Permo Air breather membrane.  These are both good quality performing products suitable for most roofing projects.  We are also able to supply other breather and non-breather membranes to the customers request.

Battens:  We hold roofing grade kiln dried 25x50mm sawn treated batten certified to BS5534 in stock.  We also have stocks of 38x50mm sawn treated battens as recommended for Cedral cladding.

Ridges: We have stocks of concrete multi angle Sandtoft ridge tiles in colours of grey and terracotta, 450mm long.

Other Roofing Materials:  We stock other roofing materials including slate vents, tile vents, GRP valleys, felt support trays, eaves vent roll, over fascia vents, copper clout nails, slate hooks.

Lead

We hold lead roll stocks in many standard widths including code 3 soaker lead, code 4 valley lead and many sizes in between. We have accounts with all of the major roofing lead suppliers and are happy to discuss lead requirements that you may have.

Cedral Weatherboarding

We are a stockist and approved installer of Cedral Weatherboarding.  We hold a variety of colours in Lap and Click boards and all of the trims most frequently used.  We are able to offer help and advise on all aspects of your weatherboarding project from working out and costing the materials required to fitting to approved manufacturers’ recommendations.
